You do not have to register in order to use Simple OSM. However, if you would like to transfer tracks onto your Windows Phone device, registration is required, since Microsoft restricts other methods like using your mailbox or an USB connection. Indeed, providing a simple mechanism to upload tracks is the only purpose of this website.

To keep registration simple, only your email-address is required, even the password is optional. But note that your email-address has to be valid; a confirmation email will be sent when you click "register".
